[Need a little help?](https://meetinterval.com/support) **What is Interval?** Interval is a native Mac meeting companion. It shows upcoming meetings, countdowns to starts and endings, reminders and overlap warnings in a small panel at the screen edge. It helps you keep track of your schedule. Manual notes are available when you need them. **Does it work with my calendar?** Interval works with calendars available through Apple Calendar, with your permission. Supported meeting links let you jump into your call from the app. **Does Interval work with Google Calendar or Outlook?** Interval doesn’t have its own Google or Outlook sign-in. It reads the calendars macOS makes available in Apple Calendar, so if your Google or Outlook account’s events appear in Apple Calendar on your Mac, you can select those calendars in Interval. Check your events there first. [Read the calendar setup guide](https://meetinterval.com/guides/apple-calendar-meeting-timer) . **Which video call links does Interval support?** Interval recognises supported Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex and FaceTime links in a meeting’s event details. The join action opens the link and the call service takes it from there. **Does Interval change my calendar?** No. Interval reads the calendars you select and never edits events or invitations. Adding five minutes only extends your personal timer; the calendar invitation stays unchanged. **Does Interval record or transcribe meetings?** Public Mac 1.0 supports manual notes. Mac 1.1 is pending Apple review and release; it is not yet available from the App Store or website. The Mac 1.1 update adds opt-in microphone and Mac audio recording, on-device transcription and recoverable local drafts. Generated draft notes require supported Apple Intelligence hardware, language and settings; you can keep the transcript without it. Recording never starts automatically. Grant microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording permission, and let everyone know before you record. Mac audio can include other apps and notifications; no screen images are saved. Review the draft before adding it to your meeting notes. Saved notes can sync through iCloud if enabled; recording files stay local. See the [recording privacy details](https://meetinterval.com/privacy#recording) . **Can I move the panel?** Yes. Slide Interval around the left, right, top or bottom edge of your Mac’s screen. The panel stays upright, and it folds into a compact timer when you want more space. **When can I get Interval?** The website version is available now with lifetime access for £15.99, paid once. Download Interval after payment is confirmed. Interval requires macOS 26 or later. It is also available on the Mac App Store. **Is Interval free?** Website lifetime access is a one-time £15.99 purchase, with no monthly or annual renewal. You pay before downloading; the website version has no trial. See the [App Store listing](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6815360307) for current plans and trial eligibility. Website and App Store purchases are separate. **How many Macs can I use it on?** One website licence covers two Macs. You can remove an old Mac from the download page after verifying your purchase email. **How do I use my website purchase?** After purchase, Interval emails you a download-page link and an activation key. Paste the key on the [download page](https://meetinterval.com/activate) and your Mac download starts automatically. Open the DMG and drag Interval to Applications. Keep the same key for activation in the app. Automatic app updates are included. Read the [website purchase terms](https://meetinterval.com/terms) for details. **Where do my notes go?** Notes are saved on your Mac and stay available in your notebook. You can export them or turn on optional iCloud sync. Read the [privacy policy](https://meetinterval.com/privacy) for details. ## Your next meeting, with a little more space. See pricing [Watch the 30-second demo](https://meetinterval.com/demo) --- --- title: Privacy policy — Interval url: https://meetinterval.com/privacy description: How Interval handles calendar information, recordings, transcripts, meeting notes, iCloud sync, and purchases. --- YOUR INFORMATION # Privacy policy. Effective 11 October 2026 ON THIS PAGE Overview Calendar information Notes and iCloud Recording and generated notes Alerts and Focus Purchases Usage and diagnostics Your choices Contact ## Overview Interval is a meeting companion for Mac and iPhone. It uses information you choose to provide so it can show your day, help you prepare for meetings, run a timer, and keep notes. Interval does not have an Interval-owned account system or advertising network, and the app does not use your information for cross-app tracking. This policy describes the current app and website. Apple, RevenueCat, and PostHog provide parts of the app’s calendar, iCloud, notification, and purchase infrastructure, as described below. Cloudflare hosts this website and may process IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect it. The website has no sign-up form. Optional website analytics are described below. ## Calendar information If you grant calendar access, Interval reads events from the calendars you select. It uses event titles, dates and times, availability, calendar identity, and relevant event details such as a meeting link to show your agenda, briefing, preparation countdown, and meeting controls. Interval does not edit calendar events or invitations. The app processes calendar information on your device for these features. Selected calendar identifiers and preferences are saved on your device so the app remembers your choices. You can deselect calendars or revoke access in system settings. ## Meeting notes and iCloud Notes are saved on your device first. A note can include text you write, a meeting title, an event identifier, an occurrence date, and timestamps needed to find and reconcile it. Interval may keep a local recovery draft while saving a note. If iCloud note sync is enabled, Interval stores notes and change information in your private iCloud database so they can appear on your Apple devices. iCloud sync is on by default for a new installation, and you can switch it off in Interval’s settings; the saved setting takes effect when the app next launches. If iCloud is unavailable, notes remain local. Apple handles the iCloud service under its own terms and privacy policy. When you delete a note, Interval clears its text, title, and event identifier from its change history. It retains the occurrence date and opaque identifiers needed to reconcile changes across devices. Copies may remain for a time in Apple device backups or iCloud systems according to Apple’s retention practices. You can manage iCloud data and backups through Apple’s settings. ## Recording, transcription and generated notes Recording is optional and never starts automatically. On iPhone, you can record a nearby conversation using the microphone after granting permission and informing everyone involved. The iPhone recorder does not capture audio from another app’s call. Microphone audio is processed on your iPhone with Apple’s on-device speech recognition. When supported and available, Apple Intelligence can turn the transcript into draft notes on the device. Interval does not send audio or transcripts to an external AI service, RevenueCat or PostHog for this processing. Speech assets may need to download, and availability depends on your device, language and Apple Intelligence settings. The Mac 1.1 update is pending Apple review and release; it is not yet available from the App Store or website. Public Mac 1.0 supports manual notes. In Mac 1.1, you can start recording a current meeting with full access after granting Microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording permission and informing everyone involved. Interval captures microphone and Mac audio, including calls played through headphones, other apps and notifications. No screen images are saved. Transcription and, when supported, Apple Intelligence draft-note generation run on your Mac. Apple’s speech model may need to download; generated notes depend on compatible hardware, language and Apple Intelligence settings. You can review, edit and save the transcript without Apple Intelligence. Recording stops when the meeting ends or changes, your Mac sleeps, access ends, or one hour elapses. Audio files and recovery drafts are stored locally in the app. After the transcript has been safely saved as a local draft, Interval removes the audio. If transcription or saving fails, it keeps the recoverable draft and any audio still needed so you can retry or discard them. Generated notes and transcripts remain drafts until saved or discarded; there is no automatic time-based expiry. Successful saving removes the recording draft. Discarding removes its local draft and audio; if cleanup fails, the app reports the error so you can retry. Device backups may retain copies under Apple’s backup settings and retention practices. Notes you save from a recording, including transcript text if you choose to include it or use the transcript fallback, become ordinary meeting notes. They can sync to your private iCloud database when notes sync is enabled, and follow the note deletion behavior above. Deleting a recording draft does not delete notes already saved to the notebook. You can delete those separately. Interval’s recording files are not uploaded by its note-sync feature. ## Notifications and Focus If enabled, Interval schedules meeting reminders on your device. These may display a meeting title and calendar name on visible system surfaces. You can turn these features off or hide meeting titles in Interval’s settings. If you choose to use Focus integration, Interval opens the Shortcut you name with a requested end time; you control the Shortcut and its permissions. ## Purchases and subscriptions Apple processes App Store purchases. Stripe processes website lifetime payments, billing details and purchase email. A private activation key associates the verified purchase with Interval, and RevenueCat verifies Pro access. Sparkle checks the website build’s update feed and downloads signed updates. Interval uses RevenueCat to load available subscription plans and check purchase or restore status. The App Store build uses a RevenueCat app user identifier. The website build uses an identified installation account and associates activated access with the verified purchase customer. These identifiers, purchase and subscription identifiers, and related transaction information may be processed by Apple and RevenueCat to provide and verify Pro access. Interval does not receive your payment card number. See [Apple’s privacy policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/) and [RevenueCat’s privacy policy](https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy-policy/) for how they handle information in their services. For website purchases, Cloudflare stores hashed purchase and email identifiers, payment/refund records, registered device public keys, expiring verification and session records, and encrypted pending email and receipt-delivery data to protect downloads and enforce two active Macs per license. Resend receives the purchase email address and message content to deliver activation-key, verification and recovery emails. A necessary secure browser cookie remembers verified download access for up to 24 hours; the checkout cookie only tracks payment progress. Your activation key grants download access; email verification is required for key recovery and Mac management. Each registered Mac stores its hardware-bound device key reference, signed authorization and updater access in Keychain. Verification codes expire after one hour and are single use. Completed email and receipt deliveries erase their encrypted recipient and message data; expired verification jobs are removed. Offline authorizations expire within 24 hours; restarting the Mac requires online verification. Keep purchase and verification codes private. They are not website analytics or advertising identifiers. Purchase records are retained to provide lifetime access and prevent refunded purchases being reused. Contact us about access or deletion requests; payment providers may need to retain their own records. The website seller is Cory Parry trading as Interval; see our [purchase terms](https://meetinterval.com/terms) for business contact details. Resend’s handling of email delivery is described in [Resend’s privacy policy](https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy) . Stripe’s handling of payment details is described in [Stripe’s privacy policy](https://stripe.com/privacy) . ## App usage and diagnostics Interval uses PostHog to understand app opens, feature use, permission choices, purchase outcomes, performance, and reliability. Reports use a random installation identifier, app and operating-system version, platform, event time, and fixed action or error categories. Performance reports include operation timings and system measurements such as CPU use, memory, app runtime, disk writes, launch time and hangs. Crash reports include technical stack information. We do not send meeting titles, calendar details, note text, audio, transcripts, meeting links, account identifiers, or raw provider error messages to PostHog. Session recording, automatic screen capture, and location enrichment are disabled. In the new iPhone release, usage and diagnostics stay off until you choose to enable them. Earlier app versions may have enabled them by default. You can change “Share usage & diagnostics” in Settings or on the subscription screen, including before subscribing. Turning it off stops new reports and discards queued reports on that device; it does not remove reports already received. PostHog processes the reports to help us improve Interval, under [PostHog’s privacy policy](https://posthog.com/privacy) . Reports are associated with an installation, not an Interval account, and are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking. ## Website analytics If you choose “Allow analytics”, this website uses PostHog to understand page visits, navigation and purchase-link clicks, scroll depth, video viewing, demo controls, download verification outcomes, and website performance. Reports include a random browser identifier, browser and device information, page paths, referring website domains and event times. We classify identifiable search, social, email, referral and AI-assistant sources, including ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity. We keep the first source seen by the browser and the source of its current visit so we can understand navigation and purchase-link clicks. If an app or browser hides the referrer, an untagged visit is reported as direct or unknown. We do not identify website visitors with their purchase email or app installation. Full URL query strings and fragments are removed from event properties. We retain only validated, short source, medium, campaign and content labels from utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and utm_content. Email addresses, activation-key patterns, verification codes, search terms and advertising click identifiers are excluded from these labels. Website analytics use PostHog’s EU service; IP-address enrichment is disabled in our project. With your permission, we also use session recordings and click heatmaps on public pages to understand how the website is used. Typed text and editable notes are masked or excluded. Purchase activation pages have no session recording or automatic interaction capture; they report only fixed actions and outcomes, without activation keys, verification codes, email addresses, device identifiers, purchase credentials, or raw error messages. Pages opened with URL parameters or fragments have recordings disabled. Recordings are currently retained for 30 days. Analytics events follow our PostHog project’s retention settings. PostHog is loaded only after you allow analytics. Declining keeps browsing, purchasing and downloads available without website analytics. We remember your choice in browser storage for up to 180 days. Analytics uses browser storage for its random identifier and session information. Change your choice using “Analytics preferences” in the footer; withdrawing permission stops new reports, clears the local analytics identity and reloads the page. It does not delete reports already received. Browser Do Not Track preferences are respected. Website analytics consent is separate from the app’s “Share usage & diagnostics” setting. PostHog’s handling of information is described in [PostHog’s privacy policy](https://posthog.com/privacy) . ## Your choices and retention You can change selected calendars, reminders, title visibility, and iCloud note sync in Interval’s settings. You can delete individual notes in the app, revoke calendar, notification, microphone or Mac audio recording permission in system settings, and contact us for help removing any remaining local app data. Information in iCloud and backups is managed through your Apple account. Purchase records remain subject to Apple’s, Stripe’s and RevenueCat’s retention practices. We may update this policy when the app or its services change. The effective date at the top will change when we publish a material update. ## Contact For privacy questions or requests, email [privacy@meetinterval.com](mailto:privacy@meetinterval.com) . --- --- title: Support — Interval url: https://meetinterval.com/support description: Get help with Interval for Mac. --- WE’RE HERE TO HELP # A little help, right when you need it. Always in view. Watch The Edge, a 30-second film showing how Interval keeps your meeting day at the edge of your Mac. Music and sound effects, with no narration. The film uses faithful vector reconstructions of the Mac interface, fictional meetings and a stylised call window. Time jumps show different moments in the meeting day. ## Readable demo sequence 1. **Your meetings. Always in view.** Interval unfolds from the edge into a preparation countdown. 2. **A heads-up before every meeting.** A reminder appears while the countdown continues. 3. **Your whole day. Overlaps spotted early.** Later meetings show visible overlap warnings. 4. **Join in one click.** The start countdown reaches zero and the film opens a fictional call. 5. **Time left, always in sight.** The active timer folds away while the call continues. 6. **Five minutes left. Wrap up on time.** The compact timer turns amber as time runs out. 7. **Interval — your meetings, always in view.** Website lifetime access is £15.99 once, for macOS 26+. ## Use the workflow on your Mac [Connect selected calendars](https://meetinterval.com/guides/apple-calendar-meeting-timer) , check what is coming up, watch the start countdown in your preparation window, then glance at time remaining during the call. Check the orange labels when selected calendar meetings overlap. The panel can move around all four edges and stays upright. Folding leaves a smaller timer beside your work. The examples show manual notes from Mac 1.0. The Mac 1.1 update adds opt-in microphone and Mac audio recording, on-device transcription and recoverable local drafts. Generated draft notes require supported Apple Intelligence hardware, language and settings; you can keep the transcript without it. Mac 1.1 is pending Apple review and release; it is not yet available from the App Store or website. Extending the timer changes your personal countdown, not the calendar invitation. See [the notes guide](https://meetinterval.com/guides/meeting-notes-on-mac) for finding and exporting a saved note. ## Stay on top of your meetings Interval keeps upcoming meetings, start and end countdowns, and overlap warnings at the edge of your Mac. A visible meeting countdown makes that plan easier to follow while you listen. ## Give the meeting a finish line “Review the prototype” can fill an hour. “Choose the navigation approach by 10:30” gives the group a specific outcome and boundary. Put both in the invitation and repeat them at the start. If you are a participant, ask what needs deciding before the meeting ends. ## A worked 30-minute design review This is an example agenda, using the same fictional Design review shown in the app images. Change the times to fit your meeting. 1. **10:00–10:03:** agree the decision and confirm the 10:30 finish. 2. **10:03–10:18:** review two options, keeping the discussion tied to the decision. 3. **10:18–10:25:** choose an option and record the reason. 4. **10:25–10:30:** name the next action, its owner and a due date. ## Keep the countdown beside your work Interval shows the meeting’s remaining time in a panel attached to your Mac’s screen edge. Fold it into the compact timer when you need room for a shared screen, then open notes to capture the decision. ![Native Interval meeting panel showing a fictional Design review, 28 minutes remaining, Open notes and +5 min controls.](https://meetinterval.com/assets/guides/meeting.png) Current native SwiftUI view, rendered with fictional example data on 5 October 2026. No private calendar or notes. When the discussion needs longer, the app’s **+5 min** control extends your personal timer. Agree the new finish with the group separately: Interval does not change the calendar invitation or extend everybody else’s call. ## An agenda you can copy ``` Decision we need: Finish time: Options to discuss: Last five minutes: Decision and reason: Next action / owner / due date: Topics to take elsewhere: ``` Keep a “topics to take elsewhere” line for useful tangents. At the finish, decide whether to arrange another discussion rather than carrying on automatically. ## What the timer can and cannot do A personal countdown helps you notice time; it cannot stop other participants talking or enforce an agenda. Interval is a Mac meeting companion, not a shared team agenda timer or a room display. If you need everyone to see the same agenda countdown, choose a tool designed for that job. It uses their events to show your meeting day and a countdown; it does not edit invitations. ## Connect the calendars you actually use 1. Check that the event is visible in Apple Calendar on this Mac, with the expected start and end times. 2. Open Interval’s Settings. Under **Your day**, choose **Connect calendars** if permission has not yet been granted. 3. Grant the read access requested by macOS. A permission that only allows adding events cannot supply your existing meetings. 4. In **Selected calendars**, choose **Choose…** and select the calendars you want in your day. You can search calendar or account names in that sheet. 5. Set **Preparation** to the lead time you want. Notification permission is a separate choice; configure it in the app’s Notifications section if you want alerts. ## From calendar event to personal timer Check the meeting shown by Interval before starting. The panel keeps its title and remaining time together. Open notes from that meeting to record decisions; fold the panel when you want a smaller timer. ![Native Interval meeting panel showing a fictional Design review, 28 minutes remaining, Open notes and +5 min controls.](https://meetinterval.com/assets/guides/meeting.png) Current native SwiftUI view, rendered with fictional example data on 5 October 2026. No private calendar or notes. ## Starts, endings and overlaps Before a meeting, Interval shows what is coming up. Inside the preparation window it displays a countdown to the start; the current meeting view shows its time remaining. Configure your preparation lead time separately from notification permission. When events in the selected calendars overlap, the native panel shows an orange warning reading “Overlaps with…” beside the meeting. Later meetings are listed below. This is a visible schedule warning, not a promise of a separate system notification or automatic conflict resolution. ![Native Interval UP NEXT panel counting down 4:00 to a 10:00 Design review, with Start meeting and Join controls](https://meetinterval.com/assets/guides/upcoming.png) Current native preparation countdown with fictional example data, rendered 5 October 2026. ![Native Interval Planning meeting with an orange Overlaps with Design review warning, and Design review listed under Later today with its own overlap warning](https://meetinterval.com/assets/guides/overlap.png) Fictional Planning and Design review events overlap; Interval marks their conflict in the native panel. ## Meeting links and other calendar accounts Interval recognises supported meeting links from event details, including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex and FaceTime. A matching link must be present in the event; the screenshot’s fictional event deliberately has no call link. A join action opens the link and the relevant service handles the call. Interval uses calendars made available by macOS. It does not offer its own Google or Outlook account sign-in. This guide has not tested a live Google or Outlook account setup, so it does not promise that every account, event format or meeting link will appear. Verify your own account in Apple Calendar first. ## If calendar access is not connected The current app distinguishes **Permission required**, **Access denied**, **Restricted**, **Read access required** and **Unavailable**. For denied or insufficient read access, its action is **Open Settings**; check Interval’s calendar permission in macOS System Settings. Managed Macs may require help from their administrator. If a connected event is missing, check the selected calendars and the event’s times. These are checks to make, rather than a claim that every missing-event cause has been reproduced. [Contact support](https://meetinterval.com/support) if it remains missing. ## Without calendar permission You can decline calendar access and revisit that choice later. Interval cannot read your agenda or show automatic event-based countdowns without it. Retained notes remain separate from calendar permission. This guide does not promise a standalone arbitrary-duration timer as a substitute. When you need a written record, keep a short decision log beside the countdown: what was agreed, why, and who will do what next. This guide shows manual notes, available in Mac 1.0. Recording never starts automatically; grant the required permissions and inform everyone before you record. Review generated notes before saving them. ## Write the result while the meeting is fresh 1. Open the meeting in the edge panel and choose **Open notes**. 2. Write the decision in a sentence. Use **Bullet** for supporting points and **Checklist** for follow-up items. 3. Use **Insert** to append a decision, action item or meeting outline if a starting structure helps. 4. Include a named owner and a due date for each action; a checklist alone does not assign work to anyone. 5. Return to the timer when you want to check the finish time. ![Native Interval notes panel showing fictional decisions and next steps beside the remaining-time rail.](https://meetinterval.com/assets/guides/notes.png) Current native SwiftUI view, rendered with fictional example data on 5 October 2026. No private calendar or notes. ## A meeting-notes template Select and copy this text, or [download the plain-text template](https://meetinterval.com/resources/meeting-notes-template.txt) . It works in Interval or your existing notes app. ``` Meeting: Date: Decision needed: Decisions • What we chose — and why: Next steps ☐ Action — owner — due date: Open questions • Follow-up meeting needed? ``` ## Find and export the note later Completed meeting notes appear in Interval’s notebook. Use **Search notes** to locate the saved note and open it to review or edit its text. The saved-note view includes an **Export** action through the Mac share interface. Review the content and choose an appropriate destination before sharing it. Export provides text you can use elsewhere; it does not automatically update your task manager or email the group. Copy agreed actions into the system where your team actually tracks them. ## Choose where notes live Notes are saved on your Mac. In Settings → Meeting workflow, **iCloud notes** is optional. When enabled, notes may sync through your Apple account on compatible devices. Do not assume sync has completed before relying on another device; check the actual saved note there. The [privacy policy](https://meetinterval.com/privacy#notes) explains note storage and sync. No real calendar or private notes were used for this guide’s example image. ## Keep manual notes manageable A concise decision log is usually more useful than a transcript you never revisit. Reserve the final few minutes to read actions back aloud and correct misunderstandings. Interval keeps the timer and editor together; you still choose what to record. Next: [leave time to close the meeting](https://meetinterval.com/guides/stop-meetings-running-over) , or [schedule follow-up work](https://meetinterval.com/guides/time-management-for-meeting-heavy-days) . ## Stay on top of your meetings Interval keeps upcoming meetings, start and end countdowns, and overlap warnings at the edge of your Mac. Leave time for preparation, transitions and follow-up. ## Start with the day you actually have Before the first call, review the meetings in Calendar. Identify the outcome you need from each one and whether you need to attend. If you can change an invitation, consider a shorter slot or an explicit break before the next call. If you cannot, plan a brief handover rather than pretending the overlap has disappeared. ## A realistic morning Example schedule; not an automatic plan made by Interval. | Time | What to do | | --- | --- | | 09:50–10:00 | Read the design review and choose the decision needed. | | 10:00–10:30 | Review options; reserve the final five minutes for decisions and actions. | | 10:30–10:40 | Send or file the recap and take a short break. | | 10:40–11:00 | Complete one agreed follow-up action in your task manager. | ## During the call: glance, write, fold With calendar access granted, Interval brings the meeting and remaining time to the edge of your Mac. Keep the compact timer visible while viewing a shared screen. Open the panel for your notes, then fold it again when you need space. ![Native compact Interval timer attached to the right display edge, showing 27 minutes and 58 seconds.](https://meetinterval.com/assets/guides/folded.png) Current native SwiftUI view, rendered with fictional example data on 5 October 2026. No private calendar or notes. Moving the panel to another edge changes its position, not the calendar schedule. If you extend your personal timer, check the next commitment before agreeing to continue. ## After the call: give actions somewhere to go Keep the decision and context in your meeting note. Put the actual follow-up task in your task manager, with an owner and due date. Block time in Calendar for work that needs a specific slot. A saved note alone is not a plan to complete the work. ## Notice an overlap before choosing what to do Interval marks overlapping events from your selected calendars with “Overlaps with…” in the meeting panel and shows later meetings. Use that context to decide whether to leave, ask for a recap or change an invitation yourself. The app does not resolve conflicts or guarantee that you will be on time. ## When meetings are back to back At the last few minutes, say that you have another commitment and confirm the minimum next step. If the discussion must continue, agree who stays and how the result will reach you. For meetings you organise, review whether recurring calls still need their full length. ## Where Interval fits Interval is a personal Mac meeting companion with start and end countdowns, upcoming meetings and overlap warnings. Manual notes support that workflow. It does not automatically reschedule your day, track all work time, invoice billable hours, replace a task manager or transcribe meetings. It requires macOS 26 or later. A quieter meeting workflow can help you see time and keep decisions nearby; it cannot remove an overloaded calendar by itself. ## Guías y ayuda - [Configurar calendarios (English)](https://meetinterval.com/guides/apple-calendar-meeting-timer) - [Calendarios de Google y Outlook (English)](https://meetinterval.com/guides/google-outlook-calendar-on-mac) - [Abrir Zoom, Meet y Teams (English)](https://meetinterval.com/guides/join-zoom-meet-teams-from-mac-calendar) - [Notas manuales de reuniones (English)](https://meetinterval.com/guides/meeting-notes-on-mac) - [Ver la app (English)](https://meetinterval.com/demo) - [Ayuda con la compra (English)](https://meetinterval.com/support) [support@meetinterval.com](mailto:support@meetinterval.com) --- --- title: Use Google or Outlook calendars with a Mac meeting timer — Interval url: https://meetinterval.com/guides/google-outlook-calendar-on-mac description: Make your calendar events visible in Apple Calendar, then select them in Interval for a meeting countdown. --- INTERVAL / PRACTICAL GUIDES # Use Google or Outlook calendars with a Mac meeting timer By [Cory Parry](https://meetinterval.com/about) , maker of Interval · Updated 7 October 2026 Interval reads calendars made available by macOS. To use Google or Outlook events, first check that the relevant account and events appear in Apple Calendar on this Mac, then grant Interval read access and select that calendar. ## Start with Apple Calendar 1. Open Calendar and choose **Calendar → Add Account**. 2. Choose the account provider offered by macOS and follow its sign-in instructions. Enable Calendar for the account where available. 3. Check that a real upcoming event appears with the correct start, end and time zone. Apple documents adding Google and other supported calendar accounts in its [Calendar account guide](https://support.apple.com/guide/calendar/add-calendars-and-calendar-accounts-icl4308d6701/mac) . Google also documents [using Google Calendar with Apple Calendar](https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/99358?hl=en) . Outlook is a calendar app as well as an account brand: the provider your organisation uses determines which account type works. For Microsoft work accounts, follow your organisation’s current instructions. If Apple Calendar cannot connect, resolve that with the provider or administrator first. ## Select the account in Interval 1. Open Interval Settings and choose **Connect calendars** under **Your day**. 2. Grant read access to your existing events. Add-only permission is insufficient. 3. Under **Selected calendars**, choose **Choose…**, find the calendar or account and select the calendars you need. 4. Compare the next meeting against Apple Calendar. Check both the time and selected calendar. ## What carries across? Events that macOS makes available to Interval can supply its agenda and start/end countdowns. A supported call URL in the event can supply a join action. Interval reads events; it does not create invitations, reschedule meetings or sign in to Google or Microsoft itself. ## If a meeting is missing Check whether it is missing in Apple Calendar too, whether its calendar is selected in Interval, and whether Interval has calendar read permission. Managed accounts may restrict access. We have not verified a live Google or Microsoft account end to end; availability depends on your account, provider and macOS configuration. [Read the calendar permission guide](https://meetinterval.com/guides/apple-calendar-meeting-timer) or [contact support](https://meetinterval.com/support) with your macOS version and account type. Do not send passwords or private calendar contents. ![Interval native upcoming-meeting view with a preparation countdown](https://meetinterval.com/assets/guides/upcoming.webp) Native Interval view using fictional example data. It illustrates the interface, not a live Google, Outlook or video-call account. ## Stay on top of your meetings Interval keeps upcoming meetings, start and end countdowns, and overlap warnings at the edge of your Mac. Manual notes are available alongside them. Website lifetime access costs £15.99 once, for two Macs running macOS 26 or later. Pay before download; there is no website trial. Public Mac 1.0 is available from the Mac App Store. App Store purchases are separate from website purchases. Apple shows current pricing and trial eligibility before purchase. Keep the event in a selected Mac calendar and check that it contains the actual call URL. ## From event to call 1. Confirm that the event is visible in Apple Calendar with a supported meeting URL in its details. 2. Grant Interval calendar read permission and select that event’s calendar. 3. Look for the meeting in Interval’s upcoming or current meeting view. 4. Use the join action when a supported link is present. Your browser or call app handles the meeting, sign-in and any waiting room. ## Why is the join action missing? A meeting name such as “Teams catch-up” is not a call URL. Check the original invitation in Apple Calendar for the actual link, and confirm that the calendar is selected in Interval. Some invitations use redirects or formats that Interval does not recognise. If it is still missing, open the original invitation’s link directly and [contact support](https://meetinterval.com/support) with the service name. Avoid sending meeting credentials or private links. ## Does Interval change the video call? No. It opens the supported event link and keeps a personal meeting countdown visible. It does not join on your behalf, bypass call-service sign-in, manage attendees, record audio or generate transcripts on Mac. Its manual notes are separate from the call service. ## Make the end time useful too Use the scheduled end countdown as a prompt to finish decisions and agree next steps. A five-minute extension affects your personal timer; it does not change the calendar invitation. For another meeting immediately afterward, leave time to close the first call and open the next.
